On the Software Freedom day, we are planning to create an awareness among our fellow students about the SFD and FOSS and bring to their knowledge the benefits of FOSS and the importance to contribute to it.We plan to do that by organising 5 different stalls that have volunteers explaining 1)the benefits of Free OS over licensed packages, 2)exploring the available free softwares ,3)and the tools that make FOSS preferable,4)free gaming arena and 5)an awareness desk. A CD-ROM is to be distributed to fellow students containing few free software as a part of the event.
