This year again, Huion is generously supporting Software Freedom Day (SFD) by donating a Kamvas Pro 16 (4K), a Kamvas Pro 12 for the runner up and two Inspiroy Frego M tablets for the next best submissions in our creative challenge. The challenge invites participants worldwide to create a mascot for Software Freedom Day using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Entries must be submitted by October 20, 2025, and adhere to specific guidelines, including using only FOSS tools and sharing the source files under Creative Commons licenses.
Huion’s participation highlights their commitment to digital freedom and creativity, encouraging artists to explore and express these values through their art.
The Kamvas Pro 12 is the smaller brother of the Kamvas Pro 16 offering the same great features, but on a smaller display.
The Huion Inspiroy Frego M is a sleek, minimalist pen tablet with a 10 × 6.25″ working area, hybrid wired/Bluetooth connectivity across PC, mobile and tablet, and up to 24 hours of battery life.
It includes the slim, battery-free PW550S pen (8192 pressure levels, ±60° tilt, 5080 LPI, 300 PPS) and a paper-like textured surface for a natural drawing feel.
So you want to participate in the challenge? Whip up your copy of Krita, Inkscape, Blender or other FOSS creative graphics tool and unleash your artistic demons! Write a compelling backstory to it and who know, maybe you'll find the tablet in your mailbox before the end of the year!
