Celebration At Thiruvanathapuram
As part of the International celebrations of Software Freedom Day on 20th Sep, 2014, ICFOSS and FSUG-Tvm are hosting an event at Trivandrum Press Club from 3.00 PM to 6.00 PM. This celebratory event co-ordinated and sponsored by Zyxware Technologies has the objective of creating greater awareness about Free Software. This time, the theme for the event is 'Government Organisations and Free Software in Kerala'. There will be presentations on successful Free Software migrations at government organisations like KSEB, IT@School, Khadi Board, and Niyamasabha by leaders of these organisations. These organisations will be felicitated at the event. It will be followed by a Question and Answer session on Free Software migration.
The main speakers at the event are Mr. P. H. Kurien, Principal Secretary, Department of Information Technology, (Govt of Kerala), Mr. Satish Babu, Director, ICFOSS, Dr. V. Sasikumar, (Member of the Board) FSF India.
