For the love of free software, we shall gather at in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cohon University Center, Carnegie Mellon University to celebrate our freedoms to read, write, execute and modify. This will be open to the general public.
After a long hiatus, since 2013, we are happy to be having this event once again! Our first year was in 2007 where we gave out free distributions in front of Hillman Library on the University of Pittsburgh campus.
We're thrilled to be back at Carnegie Mellon University in the Cohon University Center to share the good news about free software. This event is gratis and open to the general public. No affliation with the university community is required. You are welcome either way.
The Cohon University Center's official address is 5032 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 and has an ingress on Forbes Avenue, on the South end of the building.
It is the building West of the "East Campus Garage" located at 5040 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. Parking is open to the public for the Saturday flat rate of $11 or gratis to CMU affliates with a pre-regisisted Andrew ID Card.
Metered street parking may also be available on Tech, Frew, or "Marget Morrison" Streets. Gratis parking for those who enjoy a good walk may be available in Schenley Park.
We'll be in the Connan Room which is on the North end of the building between the indoor squash courts and the information desk.
