I'll be hosting a virtual Software Freedom Day event for anyone who can't access a local event in their area.
There will be two sessions, 10 AM Eastern (2 PM GMT) until 11:30 AM Eastern and 1:30 PM Eastern (6:30 PM GMT) until 3:00 PM.
The first session is an open discussion on FLOSS related topics of interest to whoever is attending. There will also be introductory information for anyone new to FLOSS. Plus, I'll be sharing my favorite Free, Libre, Open Source software and attendees are welcome to share their favorites as well.
The second session will be more technical. If you've ever wanted to build your own C/C++ software from source code, we'll be discussing building FOSS projects from their source code, customizing, patching and even making your own programs. If you have dreams of making your own distro some day, writing your own software or just want to know how to compile a FLOSS program you can't find in executable format, this session is for you.
Jitsi link to join the event will be posted here a few weeks before Software Freedom Day 2026 so come back for more details.
This is a virtual location that is not in a country - but is meant to to used for online events.
