Software Freedom Day 2010 Hamiltron

 * **Where:** Centreplace Mall, near Whitcouls * **When:** Saturday, 18th September.  Running all day during Mall business hours 9 AM - 5 PM.

Free Software Demo

We will have two/three tables and be setting up some PC's and laptops to demonstrate FOSS. Bruce has prepared a new 'Kiaora DVD 10.09' which we will be giving out (a collection of Free software for Windows similar to The OpenDisc). We will also have some Ubuntu cds and some WLUG brochures. We may possibly have an Internet connection, but don't count on it.

Roundup

The day went well. No internet, but it was not really necessary. Talked to a lot of people, gave away about 200 leaflets (150 colour, and another 50-odd that we photocopied when the nice ones ran out), 140 Kiaora DVD's and a good number of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and OpenSUSE 11.3 disks.
