This will be STI College-Zamboanga's second year of celebrating SOFTWARE FREEDOM DAY!Majority of our students prefer using Free Software but they are not educated enough to know which ones are really FREE and OPEN SOURCE... Last year's celebration was more of a 'eye-opener' a realization that there are a lot of alternative software out there which could be downloaded freely and modified as the user pleases (if they are familiar with the code...)

Speakers from different companies came and gave their specific talks about FOSS, and almost everything Open Source...

We're planning to do the same this year, but it's gonna be bigger this time! We'll be having a 2-day affair, instead of 1...
