Rafsanjan ([http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_language|Persian]: رفسنجان) is a city in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran|Iran], in the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_Iran|province] of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerman_province|Kerman].

It is Iran's center of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistachio|pistachio] cultivation. It had an estimated population of 134,848 in 2005.

Rafsanjan is also a major center of carpet production even though the rugs are sold as [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerman|Kermani] rugs rather than Rafsanjani ones. Another large employer is the nearby [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcheshmeh|Sarcheshmeh] [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copper|copper] [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining|mines].
