Nepal Open Source Klub (NOSK)
Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide event celebrated every year worldwide on 3rd Saturday every September. This year it is on 18th September, 2010.Nepal Open Source Klub (NOSK) is celebrating this SFD at its own premises with new ideas and innovation. We seek help from any entity all around for any kind of support.
Following are the events going to be held on the day:
1. Distro Demo – Demonstration of various Linux Operating System1. Software Demo – Demonstration of various Open Source Software1. Movie Show – Short 2D and 3D movies made using Open Source tools are to be shown1. Linux Installation Camp – Bring your laptop and we install Linux on them on the spot1. Linux Rescue Cell – People will help you solve any problems that you have encounter in L1. Live Quiz – Quiz to be help LIVE whole day1. Talk Shows – Talks on different topics1. Presentations – Presentations on various topics1. Open Hardware – Session on Open Hardware (most probably Nepaliuno, a clone of Arduino)1. Open Gaming – Play games on Linux1. GB Satasat – Come and exchange the open resources you have with you1. Freedom Toaster – Come and Burn an OS of your choice1. NOSK Happy Boot DVD – One DVD with more than 5 different OS (made by NOSK using ISOLinux Environment)1. NOSK Open CD – One CD having useful open source software for Windows users (made by NOSK using Open Flash)1. Developers’ Ubuntu – One Ubuntu Linux DVD that would have everything a developer needs (made by NOSK using Ubuntu Customization Kit)
