The [of KwaZulu-Natal] or UKZN is a university with five campuses all located in the province of !KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Our mission is to be a truly South African university that is academically excellent, innovative in research, critically engaged with society and demographically representative, redressing the disadvantages, inequities and imbalances of the past.
The [Science Society] at the University of !KwaZulu-Natal, [Campus] will be celebrating Software Freedom Day with the university body and anyone else that is able to attend. We are a student body whose aim to promote student involvement in extracurricular activities including community development. We also strive to provide social events that promote friendly competition and the sharing of knowledge. As such, Software Freedom Day is certainly an event that we would support. This event is made possible by the support of the [of Computer Science].
To accommodate the academic calendar at the University, the event will not take place on a Saturday. It will be hosted in two parts at the Westville Campus, University of !KwaZulu-Natal:

Software Exhibition
We will be giving away free Ubuntu CDs and stickers, answering question/making recommendations on Open Source Software and demonstrating some of the features of Linux at the Information Table.
During the Software Exhibition we will be demonstrating the various Open Source Software solutions from common applications such as Word Processing to advanced topics such as system file recovery using a LiveCD.
