##  Description

Software Freedom day(SFD) is an internationally celebrated event dedicated to promoting the awareness and adoption of free and open source software (FOSS). Celebrated in over 100 countries, SFD brings together developers, tech enthusiasts, educators, and students to explore how open-source technologies are shaping the future of innovation.

At [NSBM Green University](https://www.nsbm.ac.lk/), [the FOSS Community](https://www.fossnsbm.org/) is proud to organize SFD with a central focus on Tech Talks delivered by industry professionals and community experts. These sessions are designed to introduce students to real-world applications of open source tools, ethical technology practices, and emerging trends in software development.

The event will create a space for knowledge sharing, discussions and inspiration through:

- Technical sessions on open-source software and real world case studies Insights from professionals in the industry
- Q&A sessions to engage students in deeper learning opportunities for networking with like-minded peers and speakers

This event aims to inspire students, broaden their understanding of open technologies and encourage active involvement in open-source communities.
