## Log in to the site

- To register an event, you need to be [logged in](https://digitalfreedoms.org/index.php?Itemid=145).
- If you don't have an account yet, you will need to **register** on this site.
- Once you're logged in, the menu will have the required items to register an event.

## Create the event

In the top menu, you'll find two options: **Add event** and **Add location**.

- If your event occurs on a location that is already stored in our system, you can reuse an existing location and go on to add the event using this menu item.
- If your event occurs on a new location, you can add the location first
- If you find an error in a location that is already in the system, [contact us](https://digitalfreedoms.org/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&catid=18).
